Anne Torres
I am primary school teacher and tutor. I have worked with children and adults in a range of educational settings and countries. As well as teaching the primary curriculum, I also have experience teaching English as an additional language and working as a Forest Schools leader. I really enjoy teaching at The Learning Rooms as it is an opportunity for children develop skills and build their self-confidence so they are happy and resilient learners.
Claire Davies
I've been tutoring in Maths and English at The Learning Room for the last nine years. Before that I taught in secondary schools and worked as Head of English and Assistant Headteacher. Definitely the most rewarding thing about being a tutor is seeing my students grow in confidence to feel they can tackle anything.
Alex Paterson
I have been a tutor at The Learning Room for 7 years.
I am an English graduate and qualified teacher with over 25 years teaching experience, both in the UK and Italy.
I am passionate about encouraging the self-belief and expression of our students. It is a pleasure to work with young people and to see them grow in confidence.
Miracle Weir
I have been tutoring and teaching English in secondary schools for four years. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and young people to develop new skills, encourage exploratory thinking and expand upon new ideas. I love tutoring at The Learning Room and working with the team there to provide a space for students to feel supported and happy in their studies.
Summaya Asif
I am a qualified Ks3 and Ks4 Mathematics teacher. I enjoy working with young people and helping them make sense of mathematical concepts and challenging misconceptions. I'm passionate about helping my students to enjoy problem solving given the right tools and understanding. I enjoy working with the young people at The Learning Room as it's a good place for them to solidify what they already know, as well as, be challenged further.
