Want to turn everyday life into a story? Come write with me.

I’m Louisa Bello, an English teacher of nineteen years, a creative writing specialist (The British Library, Camp Bestival), and author of Where the Shadows End (epoque press).

Whether you’ve never written a word before or you’re trying to untangle a stubborn draft, I’m running two 12-week creative writing courses designed to help you use your actual world as fuel for your page. No dry academic theory, just dynamic, practical crafting, sharp, observation, and weekly exercises that will guide you through writing fiction, from flash to full-length novels.

The Details

  • Length: 12 weeks, with one hour of live sessions in a group of 6 per week plus weekly homework and personal feedback.

  • The Young Writers' Club (Kids & Teens). We focus on building wild worlds, authentic real world dialogue, and turning big daydreams into finished stories.

  • The Adult Atelier (Adults, All Levels): We dive deeper into character psychology, atmospheric settings, subtext, and long-form structure.

Writing can feel intimidating, but it gets a lot easier when you stop trying to invent everything from scratch and start paying attention to what's right in front of you! By the end of the twelve weeks, you will feel more confident in your skills and abilities, and be ready to take your writing to the next stage, whatever that may be.

Spots are limited to keep the groups small and feedback hands-on. If you have any questions or need more information, email tony@thelearningroom.co.uk and we will get back to you.
