GCSE Resits
Recent statistics highlight that less than 15% of GSCE resits are successful. There are a number of reasons this;
- Students have forgotten the content they have learned over the long Year 11 summer holiday.
- Colleges tend to dedicate less time to the subject than students have been used to in Year 11.
- Students prioritise other subjects (new level 3 courses) over their resit. This is understandable but unfortunate as it limits the possibility of success.
We are running an intensive 8 week revision programme on Monday evenings from 7th September. In a small group supportive setting, we will cover all the critical topics needed and set homework to supplement the work you do at college. This is a great opportunity to be fully prepared for the November resits so you can then just focus on your other subjects.
